A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Nicole began her dance training at the age of four at Columbia Conservatory of Dance under the instruction of William Starrett and Mariclare Miranda. At just eight years old, she performed the role of “Clara” in The Nutcracker, and a few years later danced the role of “Victoria” in Dracula: Ballet with a Bite a role she has since reprised as a professional.
Nicole has attended prestigious summer programs at Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Houston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet on a Youth America Grand Prix scholarship. She continued her training with Columbia Classical Ballet before being accepted into the year-round program at Houston Ballet, where she trained at the highest level and performed in works such as Le Conservatoire, Tales of Texas, Serenade, Concerto, and Graduation Ball.
She went on to dance two seasons with Tulsa Ballet II, performing in major productions including Ben Stevenson’s Dracula, Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camellias,
Ronald Hynd’s The Merry Widow, and Edward Liang’s
Romeo and Juliet.
Now in her tenth season with South Carolina Ballet and third year as a Principal, Nicole has brought to life numerous leading and featured roles. Her repertoire includes the
“Snow Queen,” “Dew Drop Fairy,” “Chinese Tea,” and “Clara” in The Nutcracker; “Bluebird” in The Sleeping Beauty; “Juliet’s Friend” in Romeo and Juliet; “Victoria” in Dracula; and standout performances in Beatles: The Ballet, Studio 54,
and Motown: The Ballet.
In addition to her performing career, Nicole is a passionate dance educator at Southern Strutt. She is also a proud mother to a sweet baby boy, balancing her roles as both artist and parent with grace and dedication
