Gabrielle Gardner

Soloist

Gabrielle Gardner, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, began her ballet training at the age of three. She later studied for several years at Columbia Conservatory of Dance under the direction of William Starrett and Mariclare Miranda, and joined South Carolina Ballet’s apprentice group at age ten. There, she performed major roles, including Clara in Nutcracker and Victoria Harker in Dracula, in cities across the Southeast.

At fourteen, Gabrielle was accepted into the residential dance program at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, where she is also a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. She has competed in distinguished ballet competitions, including Youth America Grand Prix regionals, and won first place in the Junior Category at the inaugural Grand Jeté Ballet Competition in 2019.

Her repertoire includes roles such as Snow White in Snow White, as well as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in Nutcracker. This is her fourth season with South Carolina Ballet and her second as a Soloist.
