The magic of Snow White is returning to the Koger Center For The Arts on March 16th, and South Carolina Ballet is thrilled to invite audiences of all ages to witness this enchanting tale come to life on stage. This thrilling production, rich with Artistic Director William Starrett's unique artistic flair, promises to transport you to a world of pure wonder. Starrett's love of classical ballet and innate musicality is evident in every detail of this reimagining of Grimm Brother's timeless story. His passion for the art form shines through the exquisite choreography, stunning score, and beautiful costumes and sets. This ballet is a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft and his desire to bring something fresh and exciting to the stage. "Snow White is a classic tale that has captured the hearts of audiences for generations," said Starrett. "I wanted to stay true to its roots while infusing it with my own artistic sensibility, resulting in a ballet that is both familiar and fresh." The cast for South Carolina Ballet's production of Snow White includes seasoned professionals from the company's roster. Audiences will be in awe of the beauty and musicality of Demi-Soloist Gabrielle Gardner as Snow White and the incredible stage presence of Peyton Bond as the Evil Queen. The production also features principal Joshua Van Dyke as Prince Charming. The costumes for this show were coordinated by costume designer Abby McDowell. She said, “I wanted to present something that was both whimsical and elegant while also staying true to the Grimm brother’s classic tale.”.
