Rod Foster & Company is a Columbia, SC based musical ensemble whose years of experience (as a group and as individual artists) have afforded them the ability to play myriad styles of music with ease. This group is known for their dynamic live performance & relentless effort to provide their audience with the best musical experience! 

NOTABLE GIGS: Rod Foster & Company currently serves as the house band at Chayz Lounge, they were a featured act at the 2020 SC Jazz festival, 2021 ColaJazz fest headlined by Wynton Marsalis, the 2022 ColaJazz fest headlined by Aimee Nolte and Carl Allen, and 2023 Jubilee Festival. They have backed countless regional and national acts, including Tweet, Mike Phillips, Chante Cann, JWhite, Willie Bradley, Marcus Adams, Jeff Bradshaw, Adam Hawley, Martha High, Althea Rene, Janette Harris, Marqueal Jordan, T.C Carson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and the South Carolina Ballet: Motown; Studio 54.

Mark is the founder of, a non-profit jazz organization who supports jazz in the Midlands through events, education, recordings, and advocacy. The ColaJazz Foundation is the recipient of the 2021 Governor’s Award, our state’s highest award given to an individual or organization for the service in the arts. Mark is recognized by Columbia Business Monthly as one of the Top 50 Most Influential People in the Midlands. He released 8 diverse recordings and appears as a sideman on a myriad of projects including Disney’s “Everybody Wants to be a Cat” vol. 1 & 2 alongside Roy Hargrove, Dave Brubeck, Esperanza Spalding, The Bad Plus, Joshua Redman, and more. His celebrated 2009 debut release “Token Tales” earned him a spot as a “Top Emerging Trumpeter” in Downbeat Magazine, sold out the Blue Note (NYC), and debuted at the famed Newport Jazz Festival. Mark is a featured artist in Mellen Press’ “How Jazz Trumpeters Understand Their Music” among a prestigious list including Terence Blanchard, Lew Soloff, Freddie Hubbard, Tim Hagans, Dave Douglas, and more. Mark also composed and produced a jazz ballet “Woven: Life in Notes and Steps” ( He has performed in jazz clubs and festivals around the world from Croatia, Brasil, Austria, Switzerland and USA including back-to-back appearances at the 2017 & 2018 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. 


Music is the portal through which Brittany explores her purpose and the world around her. Brittany’s voice and musical stylings can best be described as a captivating journey through graceful melodies and entrancing storytelling. 


Columbia native Brandon Stevens began honing his craft as a songwriter and performer at his alma mater Winthrop University. He currently tours the Southeastern U.S. as a lead singer of the legendary Soul and Beach Music group Chairmen of the Board.
